Inner Brake lights on LED tails

I'm just wondering if there is an extra brake "on" wire that is not used in the stock tail lights. I'm talking about the two tail light sections on both sides of the license plate.

When I see pics of everyone's nice LED aftermarket tails, I see that the inner sections (the two sections on both sides of the license plate) light up brightly when the brakes are applied. On the stock tails, these sections do not light up brighter....only the outer sections light up brighter when the brakes are applied. Or am I wrong in what I have stated?

Yes, on LEDs. The outers get brighter just like the stock ones.

If that is true, I wonder why they don't make the inner sections light up brighter during braking if they have provided this extra brake "on" wire?

The inner sections of the LED tails don't get brighter when you hit the brake, but they are brighter than the inner sections of the oem tails.

If you look at the oem inner bulbs, they only have one of those 194 for each side, same as the license plate bulbs, that's why they're not so bright.
