Maintenance Required Sign Flashing

Sooooo, I turned on my car today and the maintenance required sign was flashing for about 30-45 seconds, then went away. I thought nothing of it, but it continued on through out the day every time I started up the car.

Should I go check it out or is this a common thing that will go away?

When is the last time you had your car serviced? I think it comes on 4500 miles or so after the last time it was reset. It is a reminder, not an indication of malfunction.

Do a search or look in your manual and you will find the procedure to reset it.

Change oil if necessary, then reset.

If the procedure is the same as the Tundra:

To reset your maintenance reminder system (even if the light hasn’t come on yet), you’ll need to turn your key to on (but don’t start!) and make sure your odometer is on TRIP A. Then key off. Press and hold the Odometer/Trip button. While holding down on the button, key the ignition to on (Don’t start the engine!) The display panel will count down from “------“ to “-“Continue pressing the button until the Trip A is displayed. After this step, you are done.
