Well i live in Michigan and the snow here sucks, the temperature sucks, and most importantly the roads SUCK. So the other day i was driving behind this old car with non working brake lights. The guy hits his brakes, i realize it eventually and turn to go into the lane towards the my right. Problem is the roads were very icy and i go past the lane and slam my passenger front tire into a 6 inch curb. i go to turn into the next parking lot when i realize my car is driving straight, yet my steering wheel is 45 degrees to the right? When i get into the parking lot i notice my tire is losing air quickly.. long story short. took it the shop, control arm is bent, tie rod is damaged, bearings are loose, rim is cracked, tire is busted, and alignment is definitely off... Just under $3000.00 in damage..
like the title of my thread says.. F*** the weather.

smart guy... he goes and rents the fastest sedans and races LOL
Wow does that seem like an obscene amount of damage and an absurd repair cost. I used to bounce off of curbs like that or pop two wheels onto them at freeway speeds for fun in my used police car. Never had a problem. I also blasted my VW GTI over a parking island back in high school and drove it away. The GTI took some minor damage but was still able to be driven and under $100 to fix.
sorry to hear that... but learn to drive more carefully and defensively when the weather is bad. If the roads were that icy, you should always keep plenty of distance between you and the car in front of you

I hate it when I keep distance and the guy on the left or right lane move in. At times they move in just because they could.
Oh yeah when driving in bad weather, you might feel like your invincible and cant lose control of your car (mostly new teen drivers) but once you hit a patch of ice and lose control, i dont think you will be back into control until you hit something to stop you. If your lucky you will just be facing a different direction on the road.
