Gen6 Broken clip on front spoiler

Ideas needed! 2008 Camry v6 SE Purchased 12/10/07

Parking lot fiasco with tire stop super high. Broke the clip on the front spoiler that attaches to the front bumper, the clip looks like it was part of the spoiler itself. The bottom attachment device is intact, that is the beefier main attachment point. The top attachment poit is the trouble, temp fix is some double sided tape on the wheel wheel lip. there is too big a space were the clip went. Looks like there is a separate clip part that snaps into the broken fitting on the spoiler. Cosmetically looks OK, just not as secure or snug on that side. Ideas appreciated !

i got that too on my V6 SE, it was dark and rainy and the potholes did not seem like potholes, they looked like flattened asphalt with puddle and it was under a bridge, so that makes it even worse for visibility. I went over em at about 15-20 mph, not knowing, and i almost cried because i hit it hard, my whole car ate it, the front bumper, on the right is no longer FULLY attached, theres a clip or some kind of adhesive, that holds it to the car, but now, theres a little gap where the rubber seals between the front spoiler.

Pics coming soon if i remember >.<

You can;t notice it unless you go up close and look.

But still bugs me...

Ill get it..fixed soon.

Go to your local dealership parts counter and ask for a replacement.

Remove and bring in an existing clip so they can match it.

Already been to the parts department and the body shop.

There is apiece of plastic broken off the spoiler that the clip attaches too.

The body shop gratis me the double sided tape. Amazing that a real fix is replacing the spoiler.

Thanks , keep brainstorming please.

I have something similar, I guess. Bad parking job resulting in the passenger side of the front spoiler/body kit being a bit loose. I've seen worse on other SEs so I'm not too worried. Just another casualty of everyday driving.

"Bumper" isn't necessary have to be rear, it could be front bumper too.

Beside, bodykits is the general term for both lip kits and after market bumpers. Mater of fact, lip kits is an add-on that change the aero dynamic of the stock body part, just like the thing u screw ion top of your trunk, so called spoiler. Just do your homeword ...
