5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I was browsing and MR2 forum recently and saw they are swapping the 3.5 V6 into MR2's. A guy on there mentioned an overclocked ECU (he seems legit, as he was posting a write up on his swap with pics and all the steps involved) and he said he bumped the rev limiter 800 rpm.
I mean, it's technically possible to OC our ECUs, just requires a bit more understanding of it. Typically for most cars, you can use a timing controller to change a few degrees of timing based on RPM and airflow. The rev-limiter thing is changing the crystal in the ECU to a higher MHz.
But then again, I'm not so sure it'd be worth it.

In the computer it's called CPU (Central Processing Unit). Just like a car, Ur computer also have a cup holder... press the button and the cup holder extend out. And the mysterious "Any Key" is still unable to be found anywhere.

Ok...I know you can overclock a computer. But the guy said "Over clocked his ECU" to raise the rev limiter. I didn't say I wanted to do it, but as it relates to the camry, I wondered if anyone had ever heard of it.
