general altimax tires for snow

anybody got any thoughts on General Altimax all weather tires for driving on ice and snow in the great frozen north here in buffalo?
does anyone think they'll get good traction and handle good on the ice and snow????

dunn tire will OTD for $545 for a set of 4.

can't believe I'm actually thinking of replaciing my OEM bridgestone Turanza tires after 15000 miles and less than 2 years. I pretty much drive like an old granny too.

oh well, the things you dont know when you dont know.

my 2007 Camry LE is the first new car I ever bought.

Absolutely: NO. You need some good winter/snow tires in Buffallo and not some overpriced Allweather tires. I have excellent experiences with Bridgestone Blizzak's, and Dunlop Wintersport M2's (both and FWD and RDW cars)...and if you shop around they don't need to cost more than your OTD above. If you need to extend the winter season tires farther into spring, use the wintersport M2's.
