I've got a 2003 Camry LE, and was going to start changing out my interior LEDs in my dash, clock/temp, radio, and HVAC panel, from green to white. I figured that the HVAC panel would be the easiest since it has two small light bulbs. When I pulled the panel out and began taking it apart, the air directional thing, i.e defog, feet, vent, etc. fell off. Now if you have a 03 Camry, you'll notice that during the day, the directional things are white, and when you turn your lights on, they shine green. So I figured it was a green bulb, actually, on the back of the directional thing, the vent, feet, feet and vent, feet and defog, and defog icons are all painted with a translucent type of green, that is white in the day, and lights green at night. The stock bulb itself is amber and not green. So I figured that I would scrape off the green paint, and repaint it with a white. Again to my surprise, the black that is around the cover of the directional thing is also paint, so when scraping off the green, some of the black came off. So now I'm trying to think of a way to make the panel shine white, and also have the stock look of the air directional options. Anyone have any suggestions?
