Kill Door Chime on 2002 Camry

I'd like to shut off the door chime on my 2002 Camry. I'm tired of the ding-ding-ding when cleaning my car or working on mods. Any way to shut this off permanently?

The door Chim is to remind U that the key is still in there. So easiest is to take out the key.

Or if U want the music/radio on, roll down the window and close the door.

I thought you take your car to the dealership and the mechanics there have a tool they hook to your car and can disable the dinging sounds.

If I'm wrong I'm sorry but I thought that is what you do to make it stop making noises

Thumbs up Thanks

After all these years of owning the car I never realized taking the key out would stop that noise; You won't believe this but the key magically starts the car as well...cool

Seriously, I found instructions on another forum that basically says you can pull the chime; super easy fix, took me 5 seconds

I wouldnt mind killing that stupid chime. Because you dont really need it, at least on mine 2002. It wont let me lock the keys in the car because the doors wont lock when you press the lock button on the door, they will click open. Which tells you oh yeah, i am an idiot i almost left my keys in the ignition and i'm sure glad this car is smarter then me today.

All you have to do is turn the key to the ON position and it will stop dinging

remove the key or turn it to the ON position
the chime is to remind you that the key is still in
the noise has never bothered me

The noise that bothered me was the seatbelt dings. I even tried to disable it from the sticky. Nope.
