5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I jjust picked up a 2009 Mazdaspeed3. Wanted to ease up on my 09 Camry SE V6 as Ive already put 11,000 miles on her within 6 months. So, before some scrotum comes on here and chastizes me for bringing up a "useless topic" I simply wanted to share some experiences with both in comparing the ride. FIRST.... the Camry is and will always be premier in comfort and performance in my book. The MS3 was just a toy I wanted to pick up to ease my 22 mile commute to work on the airforce base. I ran both the MS3 and the "family car" Camry on the track today. I drove both at my option and at (obviousely) two different times. But in comparing both times...... the Camry excelled in the quarter mile above the MS3 by just shy of one second. Both being stock, I was impressed with our Camry SE V6. I really like the handling of the MS3 and its torque, but my heart still says, "GO CAMRY".

is the MS3 made in JDM land? that is one nice car.. my co-worker has one and he let me drive it on the autocross once.. nice control on stock..
I believe 85% of Mazdas are built in the US except for the MX-5, MS3, RX-8 and the Mazda 5. The US spec. Mazda 6 and Mazda 3 are made in the US, along with the CX-7 and CX-8 I believe.

Yes the MS3 is made in Japan. This car be fast! I personally believe the "EYE CANDY" inside and the torque is what attracts novices like me.
