5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I have an '08 ES350 and I really want to get stiffer sways. Does the ES and the camry share the same sway(probably just a different part number?)? If so, then I could get the Ultra racing sway or possibly a Camry SE sway. I am assuming if they do share the same sways, then my car would have the Camry LE sways. Is there a noticeable difference between the SE and LE sway? And, is there a noticeable difference in stiffness between the SE sway and the ultra racing sway? Thanks in advance for any help you could give me!
id assume not, because the ES does not have the same exact suspension as a camry LE....i dobt toyota would sell a $40k lexus with suspension from a $18k camry...

Would the Camry XLE have the same as ES 350? They do have the same engine and tranny.
Oddly the ES350 does feel more comfortable on the ride than the XLE.
the megan coilovers from the Gen6 camry is a direct fit on the lexus ES350. I do know this for a fact, but I don't know about the sways... You can PM moky-tron for more details.

The Camry CE, LE and XLE all have the same suspension setup.
The SE is different. Also the Hybrid is also different due to the weight of the battery. I highly doubt that the ES350 have the same supspension setup as the Camry.

hmmm i'd most likely lean on saying that they share a similar setup and that the struts/springs are interchangeable, but the sways probably aren't because the engine bay of the es350 might have different dimensions to that of the camry's

Lexus Engine Bay:
Camry engine bay(yea thats my Camry)
looks like if it weren't for the plastic covers all over the inside of the es engine bay, the compartments are exactly the same.
