700 bucks?!?!?!?

i would've thought that the nut came loose on the road, and it somehow decided to pop itself open overnight in your garage.. why the hell that would cost 700 bucks? Probably not it then....

what year is your car kurens?

shoould be under the certified warranty....ive seen a few 2007 V6 camrys with this issue...its the same issue as the 2005-2007 avalons, where the rubber VVTi oil line springs a pinhole, and leaks a massive amount of oil....i work at a dealer in MD and i know the part is majorly backordered in our area (central atlantic toyota), so weve had a few of these camrys sitting for almost a month waiting on parts
id raise hell...there is a TSB out on this issue, and warranty should definitly cover it as it is an engine componet that is not a maintenence/wear item like a belt or filter or something
call toyota corporate if the dealer wont cooperate...the least they can do is reimburse you for the cost of repairs

Yep same here we have a few cars sitting and not getting done... I usally just change the top part, no point in changing the bottom section on the oil line.
