for the front.

its under the body behind the front tires. for rear tires (in front of the rear tires under the body)

its the thin metal sheet looking strip. there are two grooves.

be sure to support the car with stands for safety reasons.

don't use a hydraulic jack for the jack points! it's ruin/bend that thin piece of metal

Rule of thumb, check the owner manual cause that manual is really written for that car. There should be a nice, almost clear instruction and diagrams and even pictures to show you what and where to look for.

And if U want u can even use Crayon to color them pictures.

there are two designated jack points:
front is right behind the radiator on the crossmember... should be a raised area of the metal where you can place the hydraulic jack.

rear is in front of the muffler (towards the middle of the car), same type of deal as the front... raised area of metal where you can place the jack. might be a bit of a reach if you have a short handled or short bodied jack.

the jack points that everyone else has mentioned is really only for the emergency jack in your trunk unless you have an adapter. if you use anything else, you will bend the metal at those points. you CAN put jack stands there, but i really wouldn't recommend that either... again unless you have an adapter. if you're not careful in lowering your car onto the jack stands, the metal there will bend also.

the best places to put jack stands IMO is on the frame rails... these are rectangular looking "rails" about 3 - 4 inches in from the emergency jack points.

from the repair manual:

I'm going to use my Craftsman 2.25 ton Trolley Jack along with a pair of 3 ton jack stand. Here's the illustration in the Haynes repair manual for 02-05 Camry. Where do I exactly jack up the car and put the jack stand on?

Those arrows are NOT pointing at the black triangle looking things... i'm trying to point at the frame rails that are not in the picture. You will see what i mean when you get under the car

Man I just Fu$king bended both side of the panel frame. I used my craftsman trolley jack and jacked the front up to max height which was 15''. I tried to fit the jack stand on the metal frame rail under the car but there was not enough clearance so I added some plate of wood and put my trolley jack on top hoping to jack the car up even further but still the jack stands are too high to fit under the metal railing so finally I just put the jack stand on the plastic and the weight of the car bended the panel frame. Now the panel frames are bent upward as well as curved outward. Will the repair be costly since they would have to replace both side panels on the car.

Not my car.

i did recommend you not use those spots for jack stands...

do you have pictures of the damage? if its the pinch welds (emergency jack points, thin metal sticking down) ... you can bend the sheet metal back into place with vice grips or pliers. as for the plastic... is it just slightly bulged out or is it deformed/cracked? if its bulged out... some of the clips are probably loose, you can bang the molding back into place. if its cracked, go to here to get new ones and replace it yourself:

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0

its quite expensive at ~$150 each though... so hopefully its not cracked.

Sorry no pics I don't have a camera. I wish the only damage was done was the plastic molding or the pinch welds but actually the frame between the front seat and the plastic molding are cracked and bend upward on both side. That frame is the front part of the whole car chassis so replacement is out of the question. Well I am just going to have to live with that.

On the brighter side, I replaced the old filter with an OEM Toyota filter and filled her up with Mobil 1 full synthetic oil. I think the Camry was always on dino oil but now with the synthetic oil I hope my MPG will be better. I am happy that there are no leaks so far since the 03 Camry is around 68,000 miles.

I have no idea what to do when the next time the car need an oil change. Trolley jack raise up to 15'' but in order to fit the jack stands under the metal railing, the car need to clear about 21''.

Maybe I should've let the dealership change the oil but then again it will cost more and I would never learn how to change my own oil. Let hope tomorrow it all go well with the oil change on my father’s 92 Corolla.
