Q: Dash trim removal for radio Gen5?

I'm trying to access the radio in my 2003 Camry. According to carstereohelp.net First I would have to remove the bottom climate control and then I could remove the trim around the radio. I did this to my old 99 Corolla and it was no problem, but the climate control section of my Camry appears to be on there pretty tight. I didn't want to break it while trying remove it. Any suggestions or recommended tools?

Thanks.

Just pull the entire radio surrounding out. Start gently with the top near the clock and yack the bejeezu out of the bottom half.

I was thinking that. It looks like I could pull the radio trim off first, but that website said that the climate control trim had to go first. I'll try it when I get home.

Thanks.

Yes, carefully pry out/pull the climate control/heater/ac controls straight out. Then you can pull the facia off of the stereo, and you're presented with 4 bolts holding the mouting bracket up.
