Gen5 '03 2AZ Engine Torque Damper

Mr.Gene pointed out to my that my engine torque damper was torn to shreds
and today I finally got a new one and changed it. I took some picks for you guys in case it ever happens to you.
The swap is not hard at all.

i was guna get a "stiffy" for the TC, but was unsure if it was guna fit
if i find out it fits and i have some money ill swap it out.

enjoy.

ouch

Take these to bolts out -14mm socket

this is what it looks like extracted

Holy CRAP

new and old comparison. so sad.

Put in your new one, and replace the bolts. and you are good to go!

i purchased a new one from my local dealer for 87$

so check yours to see if its broken!
cuz i dont even know how or when mine broke.

God Speed.

what exactly does that thing do? I always thought it was another motor mount/support.

I'd love it if someone made a ETD for the gen 6. I was going to buy one, but then found out that it would need a custom-made bracket because nobody has one for the gen 6 :\ Why you ask? Damn wheelhop everytime I gun it from a stop (actually sometimes it happens when I'm already moving) :\

Hey that's a pretty good DIY, I had a shop change it when I had a 93 camry 4 cyc, but I was wondering if you need to "jack up the engine" at all to get rid of any pressure/torsion/tension?
