tint it. but to just let you know, your taillights won't be that dark. the uncovered part of your lights will allow light to seep in, making the tint seem lighter. its good for the cops too since its not completely black. same style i have.
btw, u need to find the perfect set of rims to set off your taillight tints perfectly.

I believe in smoking, but never blacking it out.
As explained, the picture may be darker than actual, but that's ridiculous-- its on the same scale as blacking out your headlights.

I agree with smoking taillights, but you may need to do soemthing to the front headlamps to have it match as well. Either eyelids or black housing, unless you want to smoke the front headlamps, but that's fairly dangerous.

Smoking, tinting, whatever else you want to call it is quite simply dangerous when used on headlights or tail-lights.
In the case of headlights, no matter how light the tint may be, you are reducing your light output on the road. As for the tail-lights that should be plain illegal because you're reducing the brightness of your brake and possible turn signal lights for others to see.
This is yet another useless modification except it's actually dangerous for others on the road and yourself, too (in the case of headlight tinting).

A light tint is ok as long as you can still see some red. Don't go that dar because during daytime the guy behind you might not be able to see that you are breaking and hit you, and trust me he has a case when the cop comes.
Personally I think that is WAY to black, it can look good on a dark car if you have a light-medium smoke to it, but all black or close to it just doesn't look good, and it also drastically reduces the visibility of your taillights and brakes.

wrong.
when you have a cutout, your taillights are still legal enough to see from the x amount of feet that the law states. my cop buddies all say my taillights are just fine.

Government standards are all too low and insufficient as usual. In thick fog or snow blizzard conditions it's often hard to see someone braking in the distance ahead. Now just think how much LESS you see if people's tails put out less red light than stock due to smoking or tinting.
Too bad there are very few people on this forum who are actually doing USEFUL mods to their car...and mods which don't put other motorists' road safety in jeopardy. I don't get this whole obsession of how something looks over how it functions...
