I think the clicking comes naturally from the relay. I guess if you wanted to, you can replace the relay with a lounder relay or add a circuit to make more noise

American cars have different sounds, and also the new Mazda 6, they don't make the clicking sounds.

On a related note, I have an 07. When signaling left, the sound is louder than when signaling right. It would suggest that there are two different relays, but I can't imagine they would do that. Perhaps more resistance on one of the cirucits??
This isn't something that I would go to the dealer about, but nontheless a minor irritation.
