5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I'm sorry if this is a duplicate thread, but i did a search and didn't find anything on this topic.
My wife and I recently purchased a 2009 Camry SE (her daily driver) and I was curious where those of you with EZ Pass have mounted your transponder (around the rearview mirror)? I'd like to mount it immediately to the right of the RVM shaft but i'm not sure it will function with the black dots on the windshield. I thought it would look goofy if it sat below the RVM shaft.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
never mounted mine because I don't want to deal with the residue afterwards... you can just hold it up... and don't even need to have it up against the front windshield... the scanner picks it up

If it were me, i'd probably do that. But the wife is not going to like having to do that. But thank your for your advice.
I have mine in the little cubby where my knees are at. Then when the time comes I just hold it up, much like Netforcer does. I hate dealing with adhesive residue on my windows.

x2 i just pull it out of my center compartment when i need it.. I just throw it up on my dash, and when i accelerate after the toll, it falls off the dash right into my hands

The black dotted area on the windshield around the rear view mirror will NOT affect things like your EZPass or other similar RFID based devices. I have an RFID transmitter (looks exactly like the EZPass you guys have in NY) for my reserved parking space at my university. I've had the thing stuck on the dotted area to the left of my mirror for years without trouble.

Go to a carwash or gas station..pay $5-$6 and get a plastic holder that mounts to the window via suction cup. I hate the velcro. I actually take a sharp blade and slice it off.
Here, you can see a piece of it (top right of image). I have mine upside down so that I slide the easy pass down. Dont know if there is a specific way. You can have it where you slide the EZPass up or from the side.
hey not to thread jack but dcemureviews do u think that those little bubbles on the windshield would affect the v1? cauz im gonna mount mine there and was wondering if that would be a problem
