5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
No V6......no point in upgrading from the LE...with all the parts you had on the car (springs etc) the LE is better than the SE...could have just added the lip kit....
NOOOOOOO! I thought you were gonna sell me th led tails? Congratulations on the car though I wish I had an se. I will eventually get a lip kit though. Im sad now... you gave my hopes up.

Sorry buddy, but keep in mind that if I take the LED's off, the screws will be damaged, and will become unusable, so it's best for you to buy a new one.
I know i'm a buzzkill...but my opinion, you should have went for the whole package. That's all i'll say.
I agree. If your going to spend that much on a car, might as well go for the whole thing. Its kind of like getting a HDTV but no HD box...you cant really experience the full effect. And about the gas savings...we get better mileage with the 2GR then we did with the 2AZ.

I never understood people with I4 SEs. I just look at their Camry's and go "Huh?". You want to be SLOW and Sporty? Does that even make sense?
The 2010 model has more standard features (VSC, TC), and you can just change the grill if you don't want it to "look like a Corolla", even though that is already impossible since almost all Camrys with the SE grill will look like a Corolla (and vice versa)

I agree. Every driver is different but I found that I'm much heavier on the gas with a 4-cylinder car simply because I have a certain idea of how fast I want to get going, and I'll need to apply more throttle in the I4 to achieve it. And therefore, since I'll spend more time in higher RPMs, I will actually end up using MORE gas with the I4 than with the V6.
You won't believe this but I am actually getting better overall fuel economy in my SE V6 Camry than in my old 2005 Echo. On the highway at 120km/h cruising, in my Camry it revs at something like 2100rpm while in the Echo I was around 3100rpm. And in the city to get going briskly to 60km/h you simply had to floor it in the Echo. In my Camry, I need so little gas that at 40km/h I'm already in 4th gear, and at 60km/h I'm in 5th gear with around 1600rpm only. At 70km/h I can be in 6th gear at around 1500rpm. THAT is efficiency. Well...torque plays a large part in able to maintain low RPM in the city, but you get the idea.
