Ticking noise on exceleration

Hi guys I brought a 1989 Toyota Trueno some time ago and it runs smooth the only problam that concerns me is that I have notice a ticking noise coming from the engine. Its not louid so you cant hear me coming but it doesnt sound right neather. The ticking noise is only heard when acceleration and not when the car is at a consistant motion or idle. I gave it an oil change a week ago and it made no difference what so ever. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Wrong forum, yes. But it could be a couple of things.
It could be you have an exhaust leak coming from your manifold(s). Best way is to put it up in the air (hoist) and listen from underneith with someone in the car giving it some gas.
This could also just be the case of noisy injectors. In which case it is a normal noise. (They tend to get louder as they get older, especially in toyota's)
The third thing it could be is your valves. They may be worn or out of adjustment. It's not a MAJOR concern. But can be fixed at your local Toyota dealer.
