i have been thinking bout this for a while. might try doing a retro on it. would projectors from gen 6 head lights or any projectors fit in the fog housings?

That's what I've been wondering too because my light output is horrible. I was thinking about getting HID fogs but projectors would be nice.
Try it out.. from what I remember, the housing is angled so the brackets might be a little difficult to fabricate. But I'm sure you can think of something clever..... or I guess you can take apart your existing fogs and put the projectors inside there huh
that what i was thinking of doing but im not sure if it will fit. i dont know the size of the projectors and i havent taken my fogs out to look at it yet. i got HIDs for my fog so i'll be taking them out next weekend to measure.
if i get it done and it works...maybe...just maybe...punks_not_dead will approve of HID fogs lol

oooh good luck. Make sure you take lots of pictures and save the measurements because I'm considering doing this myself.
this is a great idea. actually.. HID fogs have an unbelievable output in stock halogen setup, but of course, it glares like crazy. HID projectors in fogs will be a nice change.

i gotta check on the different projectors and what sizes and type would be the easiest to do with a good output

yea the glare off it is my main issue with HIDs in my fogs...but lets see what we could do to fix that

I actually disagree on needing fog light projects.
I just have Nokya 2500K halogen bulbs in my fogs and they are very bright. I've had many people wondering if they are actually HID. The housing for our fog lights on the Gen6 make it very nice for a bright halogen bulb to work effectively. I'll get some pictures up later, but I'd say it's not necessarily worth the hassle.
Unless of course, you retrofitted projectors in your low beams already, and you feel the fogs are underpowered. But my fogs are great with my TSX projectors. Because if you have regular halogen projects on the low beams, and HID fogs, you will glare like crazy and overpower the low beams when seem from the front.

x2. Going with the brighter 2500-3000k bulbs in the fog housings should do the trick in terms of output. I also get mistaken for having hid's in my fogs as well.
I currently have Nokya 7000K converted H9 bulbs and it outputs 100 watts but the output on my aftermarket halogen fog lens is bad.. I can barely see anything with just the fogs on.
I suppose I should try them H11 2500Ks, although it says they only output 80 watts, the yellow might illuminate the road a little better. I'll try this tomorrow night.

word. if you happen to like the output of the 2500k's and decide to run with them, upgrade your wiring harness to a heavy duty one. the harness that came with my fog light kit lasted around 9 months before it gave out. the heavy duty harness can be purchased on ebay for around 20-30 bucks. it's made by luminics.
