Free Window Tinting. Advice On Film?

Hey guys, I have been offered free window tinting with the film of my choice (not too high end).

I am a web designer and offered the window tinting company 5 hours of my time working on their website in return for a 200-300 dollar window tint job.

Does anyone have experience with window tint films? They use a film made by a company called Suntech. Is that good? Any advice guys?

Thanks

go as dark as possible within legal limits. I think any tint is good tint. Make sure to get lifetime warranty on the installation. Any tint film will fade over time. Don't get the kind that looks shiny (like a mirror) on the outside.

Yea I was going to get a 35% which is legal here in GA. Does anyone know if a metallic tint will affect the FM signal? I dont care if I loose AM.

Oh that's good for you, save some money.

Don't go too dark, cause at night you won't be able to see anything.

Hello, I own a tint shop and we use Suntek as the cheep stuff and thats with there highend film. Bad news I have seen tons of this film fail. We use the Carbon which is there high line and it gets skuffs on install the hard cout is so soft it can't last. That line has a lifetime warranty on certain things but we don't offer a warranty at all because it will be back with hard coat sliding off or flaking, huge finger like bubbles across back window and it will turn to purple. We use Llumar. I have been in this 15 years and the ATR and ATC line is great. The ATC has no metal which is what you want if its a 2007 or up, ATR has metal 2006 down cars. Metal film will mess with TPS and Bluetooth and AM/FM and Sat on some cars. Whatever type of car it is should be done in a hour. So is 5 of yours a even swap? Film is not that pricey expecially Suntek.

They did offer me a lifetime warrenty on the Suntek film. When I go there do I just ask for ATC? How much will that run me? How much is the film by itself?

Thanks for all your info.

The ATC and ATR are made by Llumar. I wouldnt' get any Suntek film it all will fail within a year or two the warranty is useless its still crap. You will have to take it back to them they have to take it off and retint it and not what you want when you can get it done right the 1st time with a quality film. Try another shop. What other films do they use? Just Suntek? What kind of car and year and so on?

GA law is 32% all around which is 35%-38% film in Suntek it will turn clear very rapid and they will not even look tinted in 2 years.

They said they had a carbon tint for 300 dollars. I did not ask them what manufacturer.

I really like this tint:

*took out pic, made the thread too wide.

Description says Pinnacle F1 35%

Yeah Carbon is Suntek high line which is low line by other film company standards . I would try another shop. Most shops will swap all the timt we do. Look online for another shop with a lame site. We get $150 here for any car with that stuff. If they step up to Llumar most four doors are $195. Prices very alot from certain areas up to $500 down to $99 for same product depends on market.

That film on the car is made by Formual One which is a select group of Llumar dealers. Good tast. That will be about a $500 install. Try looking for a Formula One shop there see if they want updated or new site. I would swap I such situation.

I have 3M Color Stable for 2 years and it's been good. No fading or bubbling like the crap tint I had on my previous car that faded to purple (didn't bubble).

I ended up getting a carbon film 35% to stay legal. Here are the pics they took. I think they did an awesome job. I will update after 2 days after it cures.

What do you guys think?

Now to find a place that sells rims!!
