Gen5 KYB vs OEM

I know there are some threads that relate to this but I really want instant feedback on this dilemma. I have been told from a good shop that KYB gas struts are pretty good. $110 each for the front and $120 each for the rear. Then I called Toyota about replacement of the OEM struts and they said it will be $190 each but there could be a possibility that it could be covered under my extended warranty. Why is the OEM struts more expensive? I hope it is not that it is Toyota brand that makes it more expensive. Thx I would appreciate if I would get some feedback thx.

Oh ya u live in Mo Val!! Did you get the KYB GR2 from there site or autozone. lol I told the dealer if the KYB or OEm were better and they said KYB suck you can get them at Autozone. lol I was shocked.

How are the gR2 compared to stock cuz I just lowered my car and it feels great. I am little worried about prematurely wearing out the shocks though
