Another foglight question!!

Iv been searching through threads and most of them have pics that don't work or dont really relate to my exact question, sorry this has been discussed numerous time but im a newbie at this and dont know how to "tap" into things other than my battery. I have a 2007 Camry LE with Aftermarket Foglight Kit I installed my self, I could figure out how to wire any of it but I managed to rig up the wires to connected from both foglights (L + R) and have it directly connected to the battery whenever I want to use my foglights. I dont know how to run wires through the firewall (Would be abled to put an aftermarket switch in). I was wondering if I connected the lights to my factory pre-wired harness, is there a easy way to have it turned on with my parking lights? Not too familiar with taking apart my dash and tapping wires together. I dont have the foglight stalk so thats why I never used that pre-wired connection but was hoping I can pay someone to set it up so when I turn on my parking lights, the fogs come on through the factory foglight wiring.. If so how much will that cost?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

i got a 2003 V6.

was planning to install some foglights since they are so cheap on eBay. but after reading all the informative and DIY posts on how to install it.

i gave up on thinking to do it myself. cause i am an idiot when it comes to electrical stuff...

i do oil change, coolant flush, ATF change but electrical - i give up.

i might just buy the kit and pay a local mechanic to install it ...

anyone paid a mechanic for labor just to install the foglights?

what is the price range for installing some fogs??

thanks.

Okay so I went to a local store that specializes in custom auto stuff and they quoted me $75 plus tax for the foglight wiring and tapping it into the parking lights. I dont have any of the proper wirings, or atleast the original ones with relays since I rigged it up so for the wires to install it will cost me an extra $40 plus tax. Everything done, the price is $120 installed (plus tax). Anyone know if that a reasonable price? To me it is considering the toyota dealer wanted atleast $150 just for the stalk itself not including tax and labor.

i think that's pretty good. at least you know it's done right and you don't have to deal with running the wires.

I'm gonna try installing mine today. I'm not too sure on the electrical part but it's worth a try. I'm going to try to tap into the low beams. Just waiting for my helper...

I didn't get to do anything because it was too cold but if it's warm out I might try.
I don't know, I was looking at the harnesses and have no idea where I'm going to put the relay and fuse...

don't tap it on your low beams. tap it on your park lights so that if you want to use your parklights only (no low beams) you can still switch on and off your fogs. and still you can switch your low beams on the fogs will stay on. looks much nicer when park lights and fogs are turn on only but if its too dark switch on your lows.

I'm not going to be using the switch though, so I want it to turn on with the low beams.

same as tapping at your park lights. if you turn on the low the fogs still will light up.
