2003 Camry 4 cyl. Radiator fans not running when engine is hot. The fans run with the ac on. When I disconnect leads to the coolant temp sensor where the top coolant hose meets the engine, the fans turn on. However, the transmission won't shift out of 1st gear when that plug is disconnected.

I replaced the coolant sensor with no change and the fan relays are all good.
I looked for another sensor but couldn't find one.

Any ideas?
