Hey guys, i went to a local tinting shop today, and they said for my 2005 Camry LE it will cost $199.99 for all 5 windows, excluding the windshield of course, and for $199.99 is its just a normal package, there will be a cut off trim around the windows, i believe the premium package the tint will cover up the whole window and have no trim around the edges, thats probably what im going to end up doing. I was wondering does anyone have 3M 35% on there car? or any brand 35%? i cant find a good picture of 35% tints on google images. Im going for a legal look, in my state of WA 35% tint limit.
whoa! too much.
you can find someother place cheaper.
search! make sure they do factory tint.
no gaps!
35% is alright. i've got that.
get 20%. i wish i went 20%.
2005? Don't you have 7 windows excluding the windshield?
$200 to $250 sounds about right for 3M.
I paid $250 for 7 windows on my 2007 for tint with 3M CS 20% and 50% with no gaps on the roll down windows. I don't have photos of 35%, but the shop should have samples.
I have 30 in the front and 20 in the back - 35 is not dark enough for all around. Having it darker in the back often helps getting by police inspection...even 30 in the front is not legal in NY but it is much lighter than the back and cops let you go with that.
$199 for a tint job? Those prices are nuts. I had mine done for $119, lifetime warranty on 15% 3m tint. Yea I know ppl are going to say its too dark, but down here in S. FLA, nearly everyone has 5% on their ghetto rigs and the cops are too lazy to pull ppl over for running red lights, let alone dark tints.

Of course, Flo Rida is where people go to soak up the sun, riding in their tinted Bimmers and Benzes. The popos aren't going to be biting the hand that feeds.

Truth spoken right there.
Here in Toronto, there are some many "detective" and "unmarked" police cars with 20% tint!

When I wanted to get it done here in Wisconsin, they said they wanted $350, I believe. I walked. Unfortunately there are very few places to get tint around central WI :-(

oops i mean 7 windows, forgot about the small ones on the rear doors. i would love to go 20% tint, but its too dark and plus 35% is just perfect since i live in washington and it rains more than its sunny, only time we get really sunny weather is the 3.5 months of summer time, and for that amount of time i really dont need that dark of a tint. i believe its ~$250 for the good package which leaves no gaps at the top of the window or bottom, its the only tint shop that is local for me and not very willing to drive out far to get my windows tinted. also does anyone know how long it usually takes for a shop to tint all 7 windows? i cant leave my car over night since i need it to go to school and work.
If there is no one in the car, a black interior car with 35% tint will look virtually the same, or even better than a light grey interior car with 20% tint.
That advantage disappears with people in the car of course.
20% is good, 35% looks almost as light as if my car came with a medicre factory tint in bright sunlight.
Will be getting 20% on my next car, even lower if the shops can do it.
You would be begging for a ticket. Massachusetts is 35% all around with a 6" strip on the windshield. It used to be 35% on the front windows, unlimited on rear windows and a 35% strip on the windshield (4 inches thick).
