Wheel Rash - what should I try no Alloy wheels?

I noticed some rash on the lip of my new TRDs, the potholes and ice here are brutal. (The wheels are not even a month old).

Anyway, is there anything I should look at using to buff it out a bit? You can't see it unless you are staring at it about 1 foot away.

I would've swapped those rims for some steelies for the winter.

Anyways you could just learn to live with it and leave it..

or some people use like a bondo or filler on the scuff, sand it down and repaint it.

You could always try going to a rim store and see what they can do about it.

Well they are basically invisible unless you stoop down and stare at it with your face in it. But thought I would ask around in case it gets worse.

I'm not super anal about these things, I have a ton of scratches on my car already, just touch up paint works for me.

Join the club. Like you said it's hardly noticeable, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I certainly don't, or at least not as I used to.

you can buff it out with compound if they're just scratches

but if they're actually rashes, then you'd need filler. but unless you hit a huge pothole and the entire wheel got into it, or hit a curb, you shouldn't get curb rashes

and if you did hit a pothole that big at speed, rashes are the least of your worries lol

There are potholes on Storrow, I take it to work every day.

Yea, the roads here piss me off.

try driving in Baltimore with a lowered camry...
we have one whole strech of highway (395) where the entire road is nothing but potholes and eneven pavement
and...its a 50mph speed limit! so youre hitting these buggers so fast your wheels can come off the ground

anyway, back on topic
if the wheels scratches bother you enough you can get them refinished at a wheel shop, but if it doesnt bother you id just leave them alone
