i did this bc yur SE trunk wont lift high up like LE or like other car, so i tried this n it work.
if u guys want i can do a DIY for u guy n it only cost < $2 plus yur time
what he did is probably put a spring or something to get it to lift higher. i think what he is saying is because of the weight of the spoiler or something, the se's trunk doesnt lift as high as does in my xle or other people's le/ce/hybrid. this makes me wonder how high mine goes up because if its lower than urs then i definatly want to do the mod for when im loading something in there thats a bit bigger like a package.
That is soo cool, oh, and it's trunk BTW, not truck.
can you make it open all the way? Like those MBs and Bimmers I think?
yeah u can do it anyway u want
ill put up a DIY tomorrow for all the SE out there
i use rubber tensioning rope (expander) to hook it up under the trunk, it helps to lift the trunk up

this mod would not only help SE but even all camrys. i think my xle lifts up only about a foot and when u want to get something bigger in there u still need to figure out a way to lift the trunk up higher. your mod seems to almost raise it all the way up so would definatly benefit me.
