5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
its very simply to install bulbs actually, it will take you a total of maybe 5-6mins max if you dont know what you're doing. Basically you untwist the stock bulbs and twist on your new ones. HID conversions are the same deal except you'll have to connect a few things and find a place to mount your ballasts.
That's funny because my Hoen Titanium bulbs along with an upgraded H11 harness is noticebly brighter than stock or any of the other aftermarket bulbs found on ebay.
Not aftermarket HID glarebright but an upgrade nevertheless.
i think many people will agree here that if u want the best light output from your camry then u should save up about 600 bucks and eather send in your headlights or a pair from ebay and have the tsx projectors retrofited. then find some oem ballasts(search on ebay or hidplanet), philips 85122+ bulbs, and a good wiring harness. this will probably give you a output you will love.
EDIT: its expensive but its well worth it. many members here have done it and love it.

Reason: small comment.
You could also take 5 minutes to modify a set of H9 bulbs and another 2 minutes to plug them in. That will increase the light output by 55% or so, cost $35.00 for Sylvania bulbs at your local auto parts store, will not get you in trouble with the law and will not require another harness.
Then again, that might be too simple and will not give you ricer "blue" headlights......
+1 HID is more for the look than brightness/visibility.
Maybe do like those off road Jeep or SUV.
I think you misunderstood my statement.
I was talking about these bulbs. They are "HID Simulated Output".
They are NOT HID.
HID kit output is brighter than stock halogen.
HID retrofit output is brighter than HID kit.

+1 - check my sig for my set up. Have not had 1 problem with my Hid's (knock on wood) since date of installation (mid August) and have not been flashed once for inconvenience.

Oh, I removed these HID simulated from my dictionary. I mean they are not even worth considering. And I think ppl say they heat up so bad that they burn your headlight housing. It's all bad, bad, bad.
Anyway, only two HID in my dictionary. The OEM or taken from an OEM vehicle (retrofit).... and the HID kit that come with ballast and stuff.
5000K for me.. just in the middle for look and brightness.
