Hey everyone. My cousin drives a 2009 camry se automatic. He is having a problem with his speed sensor. Since he is not mechanically able he asked if i could change it for him. He would have the dealer do it for him but he is going on a trip for several days and the dealer cant get him in quick enough. My question is simply where is the sensor located?
Vehicle speed sensor or wheel speed sensor? If you dont know where it is, you probably shouldn't mess with it.
How did he come to the conclusion that something is wrong with it?

Right.
He supposedly knows what's wrong but has no idea what or where it is.
He then asks someone else to change it for him.
That person has no clue so we end up with another useless thread of back ass diagnosis for a warranty item, maybe, unless the owner screwed up the part.

You guys are so gay. What i really wanted to do is unplug the sensor going to speedometer/trip because my cousin who is also gay leased his car and is driving way too many miles. I was just going to help him out. I said there was something wrong because i thought i would get a bunch of useless question and comments if i asked for what i was actually going to do. But i got them anyways. Doesn't surprise me coming from a bunch of guys that own camrys. Such a gay guy/ girl car. Do you all own a prius too?

Just another personal irresponsiblity enabler with no clue...........
You do realize the car probably wont shift if you unplug the sensor right.... The gay thing is that a guy, such as yourself, and in that case i use the term loosely, has to ask other guys where a speed sensor is.

Haha, ya this is exactly the type of comment that gets help . Why not just jack the car up on blocks and run it in reverse when you (I'm sure its not your cousins) get done with your trip.

You know the last time I saw this happen, Cameron kicked his dads Ferrari off the stilts and it ended up in the woods. Now that I think of it, that sounds like a good idea for this guy. I bet you he drives a b16 civic LOL
