Angry 2007 camry se oil leak - a mess and a huge headache with toyota

Ok, I'm new to the forums so please dont bash me for not searching for a thread that has all ready been started with this forum regarding the oil leak i'm about to describe. I've tried several times this evening to search but the function is broken. None the less, if an admin would like to move this post into another thread with a similar tale, i would appreciate it.

Back in January, a few days before MLK's birthday, my girlfriends Camry broke down. On our way home we developed a bad oil leak and fortunately it didnt cause the oil light to come on before we got home. We had no idea that we had leaked oil from a mile down the road to our house. Thank goodness we didnt end up on the side of the highway. I noticed a funny smell when we got out but brushed it off. My son came in a few minutes later and informed us that we had oil everywhere on the driveway. We call the dealership and had them tow the car in. That afternoon we talked to the service department and I left thinking that we should have our car back in a few days and at the latest 2 weeks. Well, that was well over a month ago and the car is still sitting at the dealership not fixed.

During this time we have contacted Toyota. Toyota knows about this issue but has failed to provide adequate parts for customers who are experiencing this issue with their vehicles. Currently our estimated time of repair is mid March which will put us at 2 months with our car in the shop.

Have any of you guys experienced this with your Camry? If so, did you have to wait a while before your vehicle was repaired? It appears to be an oil hose on the passenger side of the vehicle that is faulty. This isnt an issue on every 07 Camry V6 though.

Fortunately yes. funny thing is they gave us a 09 camry le and the brakes are squeeking on it. I talked to the dealership today and told them that needed to be fixed when we brought it back. I knew about that TSB from the SE since we experienced the same thing with it.

^ That probably only applies for the first year of ownership.

Monday morning my Camry pull a SpyHunter with smoke and oil coming out the back. It would have been cool if I had a button to push to make oil and smoke come out but I don't. Looks like I might have to roll in a Venza for a while.

Thanks for the link. Even at work I get the same error when I try to search.

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /usr/home/toyotanation/public_html/forum/search.php on line 1031

I know how to use the search function and I would if it worked properly for me on my end. With that being said, if an Admin would like to merge this thread with the link above I'd appreciate it.
