Gen5 CCFL Kit in Trunk wiring question w/ photos

Saw some members' DIY for this mod. Want to try it out on my 03 Camry. But I am an electrical/wiring-illiterate....

I plan to set it up like member touringcamry's DIY:

DIY Cold cathode trunk light install (56K warn - 988KB of photos)

but still have a few questions with the wiring part hookups.

1.) Is the wiring setup below correct (install with quick disconnect terminals)?

2.) Is it right to plug the quick disconnect terminals into the Trunk power plug's two sockets (shown below)

3.) How do I know which socket on the trunk power plug is the positive (where the red wire goes), and which socket is the negative (where the black wire goes)?
- cause I want to make sure the (+) goes to (+) and (-) to (-) cause I read incorrectly connecting them can lead to the CCFL damaged/ not work

thanx.

Connect red wire on cathode to red wire on trunk plug. Connect black wire on cathode to green wire on trunk plug.

ccfl's would be MUCH brighter than those bulbs you just posted. I have them for my license plate and they are dim as hell

thanks dcemureviews, just tested the plug sockets out with a meter, was exactly like you said, red wire side = (+), green wire = (-).

so the setup is basically correct? i guess i will skip the fuse holder thing for now... (hope the trunk won't catch fire... lol)

now i will just need to buy some quick disconnect terminals.

I simply put two 12" blue LED strips in my trunk and while not daylight bright it is bright enough to see everything nicely at night and gives it a nice touch (blue shine). I prefer that over having a super bright trunk.
