Gen5 Installing VSC/Traction control and side curtain air bags to 2005 Camry LE?

I'm a recently new owner of a 2005 Camry LE and i'm curious to see if it's possible to add on VSC/Traction Control or side curtain airbags to the car or not by getting oem parts. It seems like the ABS computer controls the VSC/Traction Controls but additonal parts are needed. Are far as the side curtain airbags, looks like i'll have to get the entire assembly, airbags/computer. Is it even possibe and is it worth it? Thanks in advance.

Cheaper and safer to buy a car with it already installed by Toyota.

+1

its not worth it.
in the first place why did you buy a car without traction and side curtain airbags and then you want to put them on?

If you've got the $$ I'm sure it's possible. Not really worth it though. I would have preferred side airbags but I purchased my car pre-owned and it was the by far the nicest Camry I came across, but it didn't have any options on it.

Regardless, the Camry is a safe car. IMO due to its weight and engineering, I'm willing to bet you might be safer in your Camry than some other cars WITH side airbags. Take comfort in that and make sure your next car has side airbags and VSC from the factory.

With the economy in the shape it's in, you could take the money this would cost and your car to your local Toyota dealer and drive home a new Camry with everything you desire. You might even have some cash left over...
