Well we traded in my wife’s 2009 Camry LE for, a 2009 Camry SE! It is red so I will not have to change my forum name. It has the dark charcoal interior. We are going to have a rear lip spoiler put on it. The only thing that I did not like about the LE was at highway speeds it would float a little. The SE is more firm and planted. I would like to take it out on the back roads, but it is going to rain the whole weekend down here! Well I guess we will have to wash it next weekend

Did you at least upgrade to the V6? You could have Kept the LE and put TRD springs, strut tower brace, and rear sway-bar and you would have had a better ride then a stock SE.

+1
Plus the aftermarket sway bar and strut tower brace would make it better than the stock SE suspension. Overall, you would probably have saved thousands by doing this...
If we had kept the LE, I wanted to upgrade the suspension, and install larger alloy wheels. However, this would not have been any time soon.
When my wife bought her LE back in August ,she wanted an SE. At that time there was a 1000$ rebate on the LE but not the SE, and she felt uncomfortable with the payment on the SE. The SEs now has a 1000$ rebate, plus they are selling them at or below invoice. She was less than 2000$ upside down in her trade-in. I believe they could have given her more on her trade, but they very likely would not have come down on the price of the car as much. In the six months that she had the LE she came to realize that she could have made the higher payment on the SE, with out any financial strain. Her payment is now almost exactly the same as it would have been on the SE back in August. In the end she got what she wanted. It was her car, her deal, her trade, and she makes the payments. You can say we leased the LE for six months.
We went with the 4 cly for fuel economy. We like the style of the SE over the LE both on the exterior and the interior. We like the Dark charcoal interior. This was not available in the LE at the time. Even though the 4cly SE is no faster than the LE, it rides and handles better. You can enjoy that every time you go around a corner. I get to drive it a lot, so I like it.
I will be looking at the 2010 SEs when they come out. I think the wheels on the 2010 look better than the 09. Twenty extra horsepower does not hurt either.
