thats what i thought so i went in and checked all the connections and theyre all crimped tight and the wires are all clear. i mean the auto dimm feature works when the lights come on so its weird it only happens when the lights come on automatically and not when i switch them in manually

i guess ill have to live with it

Try going to a shop and ask them what could cause this.

Then don't use the automatic light on feature.

i never use the orange(illumination) wire when putting a radio in. I have the IVA-W505 with the blackbird II and also have remote start. My lights are on auto also and i have no problem with my mids and highs cutting on and off. thats my suggestion take the orange off. always heard of problems with the orange wire connected
