Camry design flaw? Roof not protecting seat from getting wet.
As most of you probably know the east coast is getting drenched by rain and snow. So today when I opened my door I noticed water dripping onto my seat. I figured the roof wasnt covering the seat so I put my umbrella over it. Then I realized that the water is actually rolling off from the roof onto the seat. This is kind of disappointing to me. There should be some sort of gutter system that the water can roll off to from the roof instead of drenching my seat! Any of you have any creative ideas to combat what seems to be a design flaw?
I noticed that exact same thing this morning,Sean. I opened the back drivers side door to put my umbrella on the back floor, and it looked like there were drops getting on the seat from the roof. I don't know what can be done about it other than don't keep the door open too long. Not trying to be facetious.
Hey its someone else from Georgia! And what made it worse was after this disappointment I was driving and it started to hail!! On my 2 and a half week old car. I was on the verge of tears.
Sigh my seats got wet, my carpet is dirty from all the water from shoes. Ugh what a bad weekend.

Hah,I bought mine yesterday, and plan on keeping it under my home-made carport till this frosty weather leaves. Whereabouts in Georgia are you located? We are in Rabun County,in the far NE corner. Stay safe!
I agree about the streamlined "bubble" styling on modern cars, the function was tossed out in favor of form. Here's a good one I ran into on a bubble car I had a few years ago, get in and crack the window because I smoke (ewwww). With water beaded on the roof, turn uphill to the right out of the drive, and enjoy all the water on the roof running in through the open window.
HURRAY!! Nothing like a cold shower first thing in the morning.

Hey another Georgian lol. I thought I was by myself here.
blindman, I am near Atlanta right now. Lawrenceville to be exact. I come up here on the weekends. I live in Columbus, GA.
I just hope the interior does not change colors over time. Im sure all of you have seen those old cars with water damage.
PS: didnt want to start another thread but...
ITS SNOWING IN GA!!!
Pardon the excitement but we only get snow like once every two years. And barely an inch. I ran outside and took some pics of the Camry getting snowed in.
