Next stop: Yellow Fogs

OK, so ideas welcome.

I want something that:

Matches the DRL, so it's on during the day - (DRL + fogs on during day time)
Matches the Yellow lights when the Low-Beams are on. (low beam + fogs on during night time)

I can turn on and off independent of the other lights.

And..

Preferably has chrome surrounds.

Possible?

I did an independent of foglight on my 07 camry le, installation was 100 bucks even. I can leave my switch on all the time, it turns on with my and shuts off with my car. I purchased the foglights off ebay for 60 bucks shipped, the foglight covers have chrome rings around them but I don't recommend aftermarket covers because they dont snap on at all, I had to tape mine until I bought new ones. If you want yellow lights you can buy 3000K HIDs which will give you the pure yellow Lexus foglight look.

i tinted my yellow Tint my foglight YELLOW
i dont want to get HID for fog bc i like my fog to be yellow from the outside, it is even better on a white car, cost less too.
100+ for HID
$8+ yur time
yur choice

i tried to have my fog on without lowbeam but it didnt work i burned out my fog n taillight then brought it to the dealer fix it for free.
no one in here give me a clear DIY or how to do the foglight so i never got it right.
hope some1 can do a DIY for us in here.
I hate those Acura MDX that have foglight runnin in daytime( without lowbeam)

i used to have nokya 2500k yellow foglight bulbs and i hated the f*ck out of them...they werent at all yellow enough and they almost matched my orange corner lights...the light output sucked as well
i replaced them with some silverstars and the output is MUCH better. dont waste your time on yellow bulbs
id go for yellow tint, 3000k HID or the yellow capsule mod

I have 2500K Nokyas, and I like the yellow color of it, and the light output isn't that bad.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't need the light output at all, just for conspicuousness purposes really (and the looks). My stock lights are more than bright enough for me (especially coming from older cars), and if it's really dark, the High Beams work fine.

I don't particularly want yellow tinted fogs, just the yellow light when they are on. I really want chrome trimmed ones as well. I suppose I could trim them myself after the fact with very thin 3M chrome trim.

So, any suggestions for the parts to purchase? Get the ones from Paul? Where to find the Chrome trim ones?

It would be great if your dad could do it, but I don't want to seem like I'm intruding.

Does he do it by jacking into the existing system and synchronising with the headlights or can the Fogs be independent (switch). Either is fine honestly, as long as they are always on when the lights are on (any of them, DRLs, Low Beams, Low Beams + High beams).

Thanks to you guys for the offer!

HIDs in your fog lights are perhaps the worst idea ever. Please don't. for the sake of other drivers...

First of all, SE fog lights are already pretty blinding with regular halogen bulbs..
& second of all idk what people are saying about the nokya 2500k...
i have them installed and they are practically pure yellow.
i don't even turn my foglights on anymore because they're so blinding, they almost overpower my lowbeam HIDs... i'll post up a pic later

na its not intruding. we are here on this forum to help each other out. paul gets us all discounts on parts. others help with their knowledge and im just trying to also help out others. if all the parts are there then im sure he can have the headlights hook up to your high beems. if not we can try independent. i would say go the independent route.

for where to get the parts... pm paul for price and details on the kit and how plug and play it really is. if not then tell me and ill see if i can call up the dealer and find out the price for all the parts from them.
