5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hi i'm considering upgrading my 3rd gen V6 Camry to a Toyota Aurion (which is an australian built, re-badged 6th Gen V6 Camry. The mechanicals are neraly identical) and was wondering what people have noticed in terms of general wear and tear and mainrenance issues...what people have noticed going wrong with them and them and so forth.Note: for background info on the Toyota Aurion see: http://www.toyota.co.nz/NewVehicles/...senger/Aurion/
I have a I4 2009 se. The only issue is the bad rattling, cracking popping sound coming from the roof, near the sunroof. I think its a TSB, so im gonna go to a dealer to get it checked out because it is very annoying.
The most common problem I hear is the tranny hesitation, but there are TSBs out for that and it hasn't become enough of an issue to release a recall or any of the such. The Camry is one of the best selling sedans in the US.

I have 28,000 miles on mine and it has had nothing done to it but oil changes and tire rotations. No issues at all
Lucky you. Mine have so many things done that I lost count. Just fixed the ignition coil today... $260. Seem like yearly I have to go to dealer to fix something major.
I still have that shift flare problem after two replacement transmissions. It happens between 3rd & 4th gear. Had all the latest re-programming, eventually the same problem.
