Gen6 Toyota Camry 6th Gen issues

Hi i'm considering upgrading my 3rd gen V6 Camry to a Toyota Aurion (which is an australian built, re-badged 6th Gen V6 Camry. The mechanicals are neraly identical) and was wondering what people have noticed in terms of general wear and tear and mainrenance issues...what people have noticed going wrong with them and them and so forth.Note: for background info on the Toyota Aurion see: http://www.toyota.co.nz/NewVehicles/...senger/Aurion/

I believe the most common are:

Oil Leak (major, design flaw)
Transmission issues (variable)
Rattles/Interior Build quality (common)

We don't have them in the states. I haven't had any problems with mine except the hesitation and the TSB took care of that.

Do have any more specific information about the oil leaks and the transmission problems?

I have 28,000 miles on mine and it has had nothing done to it but oil changes and tire rotations. No issues at all

I have none of these. Some squeaks but nothing out of the normal for that class of car.

I have a I4 2009 se. The only issue is the bad rattling, cracking popping sound coming from the roof, near the sunroof. I think its a TSB, so im gonna go to a dealer to get it checked out because it is very annoying.

No problems on the V6 version for me.

The most common problem I hear is the tranny hesitation, but there are TSBs out for that and it hasn't become enough of an issue to release a recall or any of the such. The Camry is one of the best selling sedans in the US.

Lucky you. Mine have so many things done that I lost count. Just fixed the ignition coil today... $260. Seem like yearly I have to go to dealer to fix something major.

I still have that shift flare problem after two replacement transmissions. It happens between 3rd & 4th gear. Had all the latest re-programming, eventually the same problem.

Any car equipped with the 2GR suffers from the design flaw. The VVTI oil line can crack after time and cause a MAJOR oil leak.
