interchangeability of trunk lid ('02-'06)

I’m thinking of getting a replacement trunk lid for my ’05 SE and was wondering if someone knew if model years 2002-2006 all used the same shape trunk lid. I realize the SE has no chrome while all others apparently do.

Thanks in advance

I couldn't get a price for the lid itself. There's a drop down menu from Trunk Lid, but it only includes attachments. When I search, the system just loops around back to where I started. Usually, due to shipping costs, it's better to shop for the bigger, heavier parts locally, anyway. I'll call around for an '02-'06 trunk lid for my '05.

If anyone disagrees with the interchangeability thing, please post.

Thanks again!

That's good to know. Do they come primed or painted? I have to call around to find out used prices but if they're similarly expensive, I may have to simply remove the spoiler and plug up the holes in one way or another.

Thank you!

They come with E-Coat. Just wet sand, then seal, then paint

Affirmative. Any suggestions for plugging the spoiler holes on the lid, so that water doesn't get in? I've seen those round bolt-looking things they use on ex-police vehicles and such, but don't know if there's something specifically made for that or if they're just bolts with gasket or a seal of sorts to avoid scratching the paint and seal at the same time.

Thanks

what are you looking to accomplish? the deletion of the spoiler?
you can buy simple rubber grommets the size of the holes to plug them if youre looking to delete the spolier...any hardware store will sell them...or you could have them shaved but that costs $

to answer your question, yes the trunklids are all the same...the SE just has a color keyed liscence plate bezel and black emblems, while the LE/base/XLE all have chrome bezels and emblems.

Yes, delete the spoiler. These grommets you speak of, are they made of metal and is there a backing or something on them to seal and keep water out, etc.?

Thanks again!

no, theyre just rubber grommets
i used them to delete the antenna hole in my acura and they worked fine. no leaks.
but, youre left with unattractive black rubber grommets where the holes used to be.
