How to take this thing apart to get to shifter LED

Ok so my friend and I got all the LED lights on my car in except for the shifter. Can anyone explain how these two pieces come off to replace the shifter light?

That is not my picture, I just used it as a reference. How do you take the two pillars out where I have circled?

Thanks.

They just pull off. Grab and pull. It's that simple.

Is there any direction you need to pull to? Pull them towards the door of the respective side? Pull them towards yourself?

Pull straight out toward the shifter stick.

You can also pop up the shifter panel plastic and replace the bulb without having to pull that it. It's a bit harder but you can squeeze it in.

pull them straight toward the rear seats. You can do this while in the drivers seat. give them a good tug with both hands. You won't break any tabs by pulling them out. Trust me i've done this a million times

What do you unscrew? I have not unscrewed anything.

BTW, I tried doing it without taking off the front part. I was able to get the existing green light out but could not fit the LED back in. Its too small to put back in. I used tweasers.

Where are these screws?

no screws... just pull

I think you're worrying too much... just pull

Then grab the cupholder side of the shifter plate and pull up

Again, don't worry, just pull
