Should be bumper to bumper warranty, and corrosion warranty.

That's a good excuse to buy new rims!

My 2009 is 5 months old and it's got 10,000 already

His, if he bought it in 2006 could be 3 - 3.5 years old so our driving frequency is very similar.

Yeah i got the car passed down from my dad who has an hour commute every day. Should i just call my dealer? And i do plan on getting a new rim set up this summer when i get the money. Rims and tires are not too cheap.

Just sand off the rusty spots, tape off the area and respray the whole wheel. You prob have hubcaps that cover up most of it anyway.

If all else fails, get the manual out and read the warranty. I'm guessing that the paint on the wheels is not covered as the body is. Just get some steel wool, clean them up and spray on some Krylon. New steel wheels will do the same thing, and I hate to tell you, but alloy wheels will oxidize in that climate as well.

Do i need to take the wheels off to paint them or could i just tape up everything? Also what time of wheels should i get that will be the most resistant to rust?

just tape the areas off...and watch that you don't overspray onto the brake rotors/calipers.

use Krylon you can get it in a billion different colours if you don't like black lol.
