Seat frame replace to cure warning light?
2004 Camry. Air bag sensor replaced about 10 months ago. This week seat belt pre-tensioner light stays on. Dealer looked and said I need to replace not only the sensor, again, but also the seat frame. Total about $950. I'm just a driver, not a mechanic. I'll have to have someone else do this work, but replacing the seat frame seems a bit extreme. I commute and have a passenger daily; just sitting in the seat, not rough housing.
Why would they need to replace the seat frame?
