Gen6 Temporary Home Depot Lip on LE

Wooo I finally washed my car since the rain subsided for now. And I finally took off my RKsport lip kit to get it painted (I PM'd you Gene )! Since my car looks so stock, I wanted to try out the HDL.....

so I bought the soft kind and wiped the bumper with some rubbing alcohol to clean any excess dirt, then attached it with some 3M double-sided tape.
but yes, like my title says, it's temporary until the kit gets painted.

OH and if you dont like my ghetto grille... screw you. lol I'm still waiting for a company to make a '09 TSX-type grill for our 6th gens so this will do for now.

Oh yea, pictures:

Not bad for cellphone pics no?

The HDL lip looks very nice. You seemed to do a very careful job in aligning it which really helps.

Thanks for the compliments!

I really took my time to carefully align the HDL but the driver's side came up a little short. Oh well, its a temp lip.. I actually feel like I wasted expensive double-sided tape!

The headlights were done as a DIY project by using the baking method.. I suggest using low temperatures to prevent warping and I bought painter's blue tape at HD to tape up the chrome rings. I then primered 2 light coats, painted 2 light and 1 heavy, and clear-coated 3 light coats.

I also had some Nite Shade spray-paint leftover so I tinted the ambers.

As for the TSX grille, I dont LOVE it but I really dislike the emblem "nose" area on our 6th-gens and it could use a grille that allows it to look straighter. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of the 2010 TCHs that has the chrome on the sides of the emblem..

My phone is a LG enV2, I think it has a 2.0MP camera.
