Camry with some war scars

Well its the first time i have any scratch on my car that i truely did myself. had one previously but was somebody hit my old 07 while i was at work.

this one was done at my churches parking lot at about midnight. had a black van/truck behind me with black bumber. guess i just didnt see it. was a bad day anyway so i think that has much to do with it. felt like crying after i saw this bc i really take care of my car and am careful always not to do anything to it. other person didnt notice anything when he came out. will cost me 200 bucks. i'm pretty sure this will be done by the meet on the 19th of april. well heres a pic(from iphone):

my parents weren't mad. they said it was a kind of christening for me since i'm still a young driver.

That's not too bad for your first mistake. $200 seems a bit heavy, but at least you know it will be fixed right and not patch paint like I would do if it were me

Glad to hear you went in and found the owner of the other car, very stand up thing to do.

Yeah, that really isnt that bad but I know how you feel when you try so hard to take good care of your baby and it gets hurt!

Did the paint get scraped off? because if it's just rubber, I suggest trying to take it off yourself with an old rag and some goo-gone or wd-40, both are paint-safe and sold at your local hardware supply store ie home depot.

or maybe just goto autozone and pick up some touch-up paint.

meh i'm fully on my dad's insurance in case anything happens plus im pretty honest.

and no i can't fix it up myself. the whole paint came off. my paint guy said he needs to put on some primer to even it out then paint that spot and clear the rest. he's a real good guy. he does the real expensive stuff too at a premier body shop in NJ.

Like untitlejk said, I think you could probably just rub that off your car. It doesn't look like the car came off, but it is a little hard to tell. I know you probably wouldn't want to try this, but you can try to lightly use your finger nail and see if some of the black comes off...

as i tried to explain before, that black is not the paint off the previous car. that i believe is the primer on the bumber. ie the paint just pretty much came off my car ........

its the newest mod thats sweepin' the nation. makes your car 10 pounds lighter and knocks a tenth of a second off your 0-60 time and best of all its free

Sorry dude, few weeks back I had my car jabbed in 2 spots with a screwdriver. Did my own repairs, saved the money (it's a lease)
I was both enraged and depressed for the rest of that week in happened....then I decided to wear it like a badge of honor ....that and just spend more money on some mods

We'll compare battle scars on the 19th if you're there

That sucks, but good thing it isn't too large.

My first week with the car, someone scratches my rear bumper while it's parked in a 6 story lot by my office.

Took more of his red paint off than my silver though. Still sucks when it's the first time.

I've notice a similar thing on the other side of my rear bumper recently. After the first time, I just don't let it bother me anymore. Touch up paint (free from the dealer) and I'm done with it.

I have a scratch on my hood. I think it was from a rock flying and hitting me at a construction area. I heard it but didnt pay attention to it. Its hardly noticeable but its there

Good luck to ya man.
