dont get the cut out! The tinter didnt cut it out on my dad's 6th gen nor my sisters 5th gen. But when i came with my accord they were closed so i went to a different place.

It slipped my mind that they cut it out. It looks so crappy and its peeling in that area so i gotta go back in the summer!

I agree, DO NOT get the cut out. I personally think its crappy and it kind of looks like a crappy job was done. As if the person doing the tint didnt want to go the extra mile to tint where the 3rd brake light was and just cut around it.

Here are my pics. Very sorry about the quality. Its from my crappy cell phone since my dad took the digi cam on his trip.

Here is my accord. Its really dark and the light in my garage doesnt do much. But as you can see the cut out, and the thing about honda is they have the gay dot matrix on the back so towards the top it doesnt stick! It makes it look so ghetto. Anyways I have 20% tint so in the day time there is a HUGE contrast with the cut out and it looks horrible!

Here is the 6th gen.

Looks much better! Even if they tell you that its illegal if it covers... all car's have 2 brake lights anyways, and not every car has a 3rd brake light. And even if it does get covered... well it will still shine...

Originally had the cut-out for the 3rd brake light.
Then got my tails tinted, realized the lights can be seen just fine for no worry.
Went back, and I removed the rear deck and said please go in and add a perfectly matching tinted piece...they did, looks so much better!! do it that way in the 1st place

I am shaving the ass on sunday, I 'can't help but wanna be as smooth stealth as I can.

*Quick ? - think i'll have a hard time at lease return if I paint my emblems?

Good decision . Surprised you didnt have them take the whole thing off and put a whole new tint on. Would of probably cost you money to have them do all that again.

I need to shave mine as well.

Yeah, i watched over the process and was ready to pull the plug on a patch job unless I was satisfied. Not to mention, yeah why'd I wanna RE-SPEND on a 5 mo. old tint job!

I think I am just going to go with a DIY pearl black emblem setup, 3m double sided tape for the re-apply.
