Gen 6 Camry and HID Questions

Hi, I have a 2008 Camry. I am thinking about purchasing a DDM Tuning HID Kit, but as I did more research online. I found out about issues regarding the Daytime Running Lights (DRL), does this affect the Gen 6 Camry? Also, do I have to turn off the Auto Light feature, which allows the lights to automatically turn on after dark?
Please tell more important information or issues that I should be aware of before purchasing a kit. This is my first mod, so I am kind of nervous.

i belive the daylight use the high beam so it won't affect the low beam whice the hid is going to be install in.


do a search function under hid, it will answer most of your hid question.

The DRL's on the camry doesnt use the low beam bulb. It uses the high beam at a low wattage. So you're fine. Make sure you cover your squirrel spoters.

Thanks for the replies! I did do a search under HID and Auto Lights and was not 100% clear on the answer. So, After installing the HIDs, can I leave the Auto Light feature on? Or should I have to turn the lights on/off manually?
