How do I change the licence plate light bulb on a 2002 (Gen 5 & 6) Camry?

Hi Ya! I am having a heck of a problem! I can't get to that light! I ripped the back lining of the trunk hood back, yet I still can not get that unit piece of the license plate light out to replace the bulb. Seems like the entire unit, front clear plastic, back, side, are one piece. The back seems to have 6 things on the fringe that need to be all squeezed simultaneously AND pulled so the unit comes out. I do not have any special equipment, so I need to know what to use.

If you never taken the unit out, please do not answer this thread. It is frustrating. Recently, I read an answer that said just go to the back, unscrew the bulb, and screw in the new bulb.

just twist it. its like changing lights on the head lights and brake lights.
