Difference 02-04 and 05-07 Headlights

Hey guys,

I was searching for projector headlights and I came across 3 different kinds

the first 1 is the crappy one everyone has mentioned to stay away from

http://i1.iofferphoto.com/img/item/7...103002AC-Y.jpg

the second one has a different style

https://www.urban-neon-car-lights.co...EADLIGHTS.html

and the third is exactly like the stock headlights but has halo and a chrome housing

So my questions are,
has anyone have had or know anyone who has experience with the last 2 housings? If so, how was the build quality and the light output? Any wiring problems?

And secondly, are there any differences between the 02-04 and 05-06 housings? Judging from the picture, the panels looks very similar to one another.

I cant speak for your car. I have a 07 Tacoma. but most one the after market ones are shit do to the projectors are not very good quality. Unlike say stock HID projectors in and FX, or BMW.

i'll tell you right now, all three you linked are probably shit. the headlights may have different styling, but internally they are all the same. they use H1 bulbs and projectors, which really do not have good output. all three headlights are more of a gen 5.5 (05-06) style, which means the parking light and turn signals are separate bulbs. gen 5 (02-04) style headlights have the turn signal and parking light combined into one light... so if you were to get these headlights and you had a gen 5, you would likely have to do some rewiring.

if you're really dead set on getting projectors... do yourself a favor: save the $358 you would have paid on that second set, and save up for a true hid projector retrofit. www.hidplanet.com is a good place to read up on hid retrofits... and there's links to some retrofitting services.

once you go true hid, you never go back!

All three are crap. You're better off doing retrofit projectors using either TSX or BMW projectors.

They're all crap..i have some currently..and they're crap. I only got them for looks (i don't do a lot of night driving).

Do a Retrofit for HID's you'll be happier. Or just stick with your stock headlights
