1) You are blinding oncoming traffic because you did not cover up the squirrel spotters.
2) You probably see even less than with halogens because 8000K puts out low lumens.

Sorry, I can't congratulate you on this job.

i just saw just like that on a 07-09 camry. its too blue and i was standing outside the mall and i was blinded with his light. 8000- 12000k is too ricey for me. 4300-6000k is the best for me. im using 5000k and love the light output and the color.

8000K=ghey.

Congrats. You've officially crossed into being a poser, considering you were probably going for the OEM luxury look but not knowing all OEM HID systems are less than 5000K and their look is more due to their projectors.

all the haters should just stay out of his thread and need to gain some maturity.

and to correct people about lumens- a halogen bulb puts out around 1200-1500lumens.
8000K hids still put out 2700lumens. you do the math and then tell him again that that he can't see.

the only thing that I do agree with is that he should cover up his squirrel spotters since the projectors are designed as halogen projectors, which means that the squirrel spotters on the halogen projectors are designed differently than the squirrel spotters on hid projectors.

I find it funny that you guys all use halogen projectors with your hids and think that you're all the experts at hid/projector lighting. if you put your money where your mouth is, you would have all retrofitted hid projectors into your own housings already

+1..and the OP mentioned he did not get his squirrel spotters covered yet...implying that's the plan anyway. We got tons of aftermarket 8k HID's on the streets here..mostly 300's and such though.
