Bad throttle body?
I went to the dealership since my car is still underwarranty. I complained about loud idle, ticking while accelerating at low speeds as if someone stuck a clip in a fan. The dealer said I have a bad throttle body that wasn't not working at all. Service rep said it allows air in out of the engine through the intake or something along those lines (bad explanation, she didnt even know what she was explaining to me). Anyone know what this does and how this would gone bad at 16,600 miles? Would it be my driving style or just something that was generally fault and unexplainable (I drive slow and dont beat on my cars)? They told me the part is on order, they will call me nextweek to have it replaced. So is it okay to drive with a body throttle that is not working whatsoever? I notice after driving for an hour, that my car smells like its burning and smells as if my engine was a rotten egg factory.
Any feedback would be appreciated, Thanks! =]
