Question about rims.

I'm ready to get some new shoes for my ride but I'm really new to this whole car scene. Can anyone help me with what I should look for in some good/decent rims?

Well, it depends on what you want. If you want an OEM look, you have the 17" SE wheels and the 18" TRDs. If you don't care about that, then you have all of aftermarket to choose from.

Start with www.Tirerack.com and see what you like there. Tires from there definitely

I'm actually aiming for a little bit of both. I'm looking at these rims: http://www.nyxracing.com/enkei-edr9-...742f7ur48m9ts6 There is two types, the 5x100 and a 5x114.3, what do those numbers mean? Also, what does 18x7.5 represent?

You need 5 x 114.3 bolt patterns, the correct offset for the Camry I can't remember exactly though (I think 45mm).

18x 7.5s are the tire size (based on your rim size) and tire width.

Nice eye! Those black rims look very nice in deed.

But unless you have a Black car, I wouldn't recommend it.

18x7.5 meant 18 is your rims size is 18 inches and 7.5 is a measurement of how wide your rim is. The tire with is determine by the tire size. For example:
225-45-18 tire size
225 is the width of the tire
45 is 45% of the width of that tire (which is 45% of the 225 in this case)
18 is the size of the rim that this tire will fit onto.

^ Master has spoken his wisdom again
A good offset would be +35 to +40

You can't put on wider tires than your rim size right?

For instance, 225/45/18s should not be able to fit on anything other than 18x7s no?

225/45s can go on a lot of different wheels...8, 9,7,7.5 all those widths would be fine..
you could stretch them and put them on 9.5s.

i'm always surprised by how many people don't understand bolt patterns, offsets, wheel widths, tire sizes, etcc....

What color is your car? And are you going for a sporty look or a VIP type of look?

Your best bet is try to find a local wheel and tire shop and see if anyone sells aftermarket wheels. It'd be easiest for them to size your car and test fit wheels there, then you can see ones you want and purchase them there.

Somewhat off topic, but related to an extent.

Quick question, will 18x8 +30 all around fit without the need for spacers? 225/45 front and 245/40 rears. Dropped on TRD springs.

If not, I'd think just a 5mm spacer would fit.

you won't need spacers, +30 will be very close to the fender. if not even to it
